Luxembourg development NGOs and their partners for community-based adaptation to climate change
Introduction
Since 2017 the Luxembourg government provides a funding instrument for non-state actors, notably non-governmental organizations (NGOs) additional to the ODA. To date, more than 60 community based adaptation projects have been financed by this instrument and implemented by Luxembourg NGOs and their partners in the South.
This instrument has mobilized the skills of development NGOs and the partnership networks they have built up to create an agile approach to delivering climate adaptation finance effectively to local populations.
The NGOs decided to create this website in order to share their experiences in the implementation of those projects.
Why this website?
The aim of this website is to present the adaptation projects implemented by NGOs, their partners and local communities in the framework of Luxembourg's international climate finance.
It will also present problems and local solutions that effectively respond to the challenges of adapting to climate change, contributing to the exchange of good practices and experiences between organisations.
