About the project...

This project is part of the NGO's Framework Agreement with the MAEE which runs from 2022 to 2026 and which includes two main areas, access to education and child protection. The project provides for the construction of 33 bioclimatic classrooms as well as their equipment and associated infrastructure, such as boreholes, latrines, sports fields, canteens, etc. Bioclimatic architecture is an innovative concept developed internally for years by Mr. David Demange, architect and director of the NGO's Burkina Faso activities with the support of international experts and the team in Burkina Faso. The first two schools opened their doors in October 2023. They are built mainly with local materials, with very little concrete and the architecture adapted to the local climate makes it possible to significantly reduce the temperature inside the buildings to the great satisfaction students and teachers.
